I've got my crutches already to take with me on Monday. They are boring standard issue ones from the 'handicap' shop which is covered by my insurance. There are much more colourful ones online.
At least I won't have the following problem, living on flat Holland :~)
The first day after the op, you start with a zimmerframe, and only after a day or two move on to two crutches. I can't remember how soon I started using only one..... time will tell.
