Good News 2:
He said I can give my borrowed crutches back, but the physio still wants me to use one when I go out.... I'll see how that goes without.....
The beastly support stocking can now be ceremonially burned !!!
Good News 4: I don't need to go back for a check-up for the next 6 months :~)
Good News 5: I can try driving if I feel confident that I can make an emergency stop. More about that in tomorrows edition !
Good News 6: I can try cycling. My physiotherapist has been coming to the house three times a week, but tomorrow I shall walk round to the sports school just round the corner and give cycling a go on a home trainer. I need to see if I can get the pedals round without any strain before getting back in the saddle.... watch this space
Good News 7: Once I'm more mobile I can start working..... I'll probably start with a couple of half days to see how it goes, and I can also work from home
Good News 8:
I don't have to inject myself with anti-thrombosis medication anymore
Good News 9: The fluid in the joint is within bounds and might takes a few months to go completely
Good News 10: My back seems to be back in shape.... my body seems to have adjusted itself to my leg being perhaps a millimeter or two longer or shorter. And not walking with the crutch helps, because it tends to make you lean on it and puts you off center.
